Julie Costantino, Coach
I started my nutrition journey in 2018 to take control of my own health. I had always been part of the camp “You CAN out train a bad diet”. At the time I had been doing CrossFit for about 2 years and was getting frustrated with the lack of progress in the gym despite the amount of training I was doing. I decided to acknowledge that maybe, just maybe, my nutrition was holding me back. I began reading about science based nutrition and embarked on my own weight loss journey. I successfully lost 18 pounds over 3 months, improved my performance in the gym, and have since then (4 years) maintained that weight.
Other members at my gym noticed my success and began asking questions. I think some were surprised to learn that I wasn’t starving myself or eliminating entire food groups or macros from my diet. To be honest I was eating a lot…fruits, veggies, and other whole foods. I realized that I really enjoyed sharing my experience and knowledge with others and helping them on their own journey. People started asking me to help them with their nutrition, so I sought out a certification to enhance my knowledge and become a coach. I pursued my Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification and completed it in October 2021.
I am excited to be able to offer nutrition coaching by teaching people how to fuel their bodies and build the skills needed for a sustainable approach to long-term health.
